This is to notify all potential Corps members that the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Management has set the start date for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Orientation Course.

When Will the (NYSC) 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Orientation Course Commence?

  • Commencement / Registration: Wednesday, 25th April 2024
  • The cut-off date for Registration: is Thursday, 26th April 2024
  • Swearing-In Ceremony: Friday, 27th April 2024
  • Closing Ceremony: Tuesday, 14th  April 2024

Before registering, all prospective Corps members must take the COVID-19 test at the camp.

Fill out the COVID-19 Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) self-reprinting form and print the verification slip to bring to camp for the COVID-19 test.

Prospective Corps Members who have been assigned to the 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream II Orientation Course should report to the camps listed on their Call-up Letters. Foreign-trained graduates must bring their International Passports as well as original copies of all submitted documentation to the camp.

In the case that the prospective Corps Member who received the Call-up Letter from his or her institution loses it, the prospective Corps Member is encouraged to get a Police Report and a Swim Affidavit, and then report to the institution of graduation for further action. Those who printed their Call-up Letters over the Internet can reproduce them in the event of a loss.

The provisions of Section 13 sub-section 1(a) and (b) of the NYSCS Act, Cap. N84 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 apply to anybody who fails to report for service in the Service Corps as ordered in the Call-up Letter and/or refuses to make himself available for service in the Service Corps.

Also, anybody who is not qualified to join the Service Corps or has been officially awarded a Certificate of National Service or Certificate of Exemption but nevertheless joins would be punished under Section 13 sub-section 2(a) and (b) of the NYSC Act, Cap N84 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.

Prospective Corps Members must report to camp on the dates specified on their Call-up Letters and follow all COVID-19 non-pharmaceutical treatments, including handwashing at designated sites in the Orientation Camps, in accordance with COVID-19 procedures. Prospective Corps Members report to camp on a staggered schedule to reduce congestion and assure physical and social separation. As a result, each Prospective Corps Member should bring adequate face masks and personal pocket-size hand sanitizer to camp.

Following up on the presidential Steering Committee’s recent statement on COVID-19. PCM should be aware that beginning December 1, 2022, all Federal Civil Servants (including Corps Members) will be required to produce proof of COVID-19 Vaccination before entering offices or orientation camps. Please be aware that presenting a fake COVID-19 certificate is illegal.

All married pregnant and nursing mothers who have not been deployed to their husbands’ areas of residency can now enroll in the NYSC Orientation Camps in their spouses’ states of residence. They must, however, produce the following documents, in addition to other essential documents, for registration:

  • Evidence of marriage
  • Identity of husband
  • Evidence of husband’s place of domicile
