BECE Registration Form 2023/2024 for JSS3 is Out: The National Examinations Council (NECO) is now selling the application forms for the 2023 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE). See how to obtain NECO BECE forms below.

Online registration has begun for the Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3 final year Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) of the National Examinations Council (NECO), often known as the Junior WAEC.

About NECO BECE

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is given to students in their last year of Junior Secondary School. It is used to bridge the gap between JSS 3 of the basic education class and senior secondary school.

While each federation state and the FCT administer the BECE to their applicants, NECO administers the exam to Federal Unity Colleges and other related institutions.

Private secondary schools that are interested in taking the test must be approved by their respective state Ministries of Education. As the first school-leaving credential, the BECE certificate replaces the elementary school certificate.

At the BECE level, eighteen subjects are administered. A candidate must enroll for at least nine and no more than 10 topics.

The BECE grading system looks like this:

A – Distinction
B – Upper Credit
C – Lower Credit
P – Pass
F – Fail
